400;\">A unos 4 km al suroeste del casco hist\u00f3rico la parroquia de Lara\u00f1o es colindante por el Oeste con Villestro y Orto\u00f1o, al norte con Figueiras y San Paio, al Este con Vid\u00e1n y Conxo y por el Sur limita con el Ayuntamiento de Ames (Biduido).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Desde 1835 habr\u00eda formado parte del Ayuntamiento de Conxo junto con las parroquias de Conxo, Ar\u00edns, Villestro, Figueiras, O Eixo y Marrozos, que forman parte del conocido como Xiro da Rocha.\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En 1925 todas ellas se <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0incorporan al Ayuntamiento de Santiago y pasa a formar parte tambi\u00e9n del Arciprestazgo del Xiro da Cidade, dependiente de la di\u00f3cesis de Santiago.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cuenta con una superficie de\u00a0 3.84 km<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><sup>2<\/sup><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> y un per\u00edmetro de 11.56 km que se reparte principalmente en las aldeas de <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Ama\u00f1ecida, O Casal, A Barcia, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coira, A Igrexa, Lamas, Lara\u00f1i\u00f1o, Mun\u00edn, Pardi\u00f1as de Abaixo, Pardi\u00f1as de Arriba, Paredes, Reib\u00f3, O Rial y Santomil.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lara\u00f1o est\u00e1 ba\u00f1ado por el r\u00edo Sarela y sus afluentes: Vilar, Cova y Fontecova. El t\u00e9rmino tiene una altitud media de 200 m y se encuentra a unos 260 m sobre el nivel del mar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seg\u00fan datos del INE en 2021 Lara\u00f1o cuenta con una poblaci\u00f3n\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">de 1223 habitantes,<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">de los cuales 650 son mujeres y 573 hombres . Gumersindo del Busto residente en Buenos Aires, en la cual le encarga escoja en la parroquia de Lara\u00f1o el sitio m\u00e1s \u00e1 prop\u00f3sito para levantar una escuela para ni\u00f1os y ni\u00f1as con arreglo al sistema alem\u00e1n, en la cual tendr\u00e1n tambi\u00e9n los profesores c\u00f3moda casa habitaci\u00f3n. El per\u00edmetro que ocupar\u00e1n las escuelas es de 10 hect\u00e1reas el cual ya ha sido elegido por la comisi\u00f3n del ayuntamiento de Conjo que fue a Lara\u00f1o con dicho objeto.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>1937<\/td>\n<td>El Compostelano<\/td>\n<td>Art\u00edculo por el fallecimiento de Gumersindo Busto Villanueva. Se puede dividir en monumentos de car\u00e1cter religioso y civil.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entre los primeros destaca el Conjunto Parroquial compuesto por la Iglesia (s.XVI-XVIII) de traza barroca, dedicada a San Marti\u00f1o . De planta rectangular cuenta con una ligera elevaci\u00f3n de su tejado a la altura de la capilla mayor. Sus paredes est\u00e1n encaladas en blanco y cuenta con escasa decoraci\u00f3n exterior, excepto por la\u00a0 figura del santo en su fachada principal. Destaca el campanario de piedra, el atrio est\u00e1 allanado con c\u00e9sped y piedra en los accesos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El conjunto se completa con el Cruceiro del atrio parroquial de planta hexagonal y cinco escalones en los que se asienta <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">el pedestal c\u00fabico con la representaci\u00f3n de los s\u00edmbolos de la Pasi\u00f3n. Tambi\u00e9n forma parte de \u00e9l el Campo de la fiesta d<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">e <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1.387 m<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> cuyo mayor inter\u00e9s es el Palco de la m\u00fasica .<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La parroquia cuenta con hasta 5 cruceiros repartidos por su territorio:<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cruceiro del Cementerio Lara\u00f1o, Cruceiro de Coira , Pardi\u00f1as (2) y Lara\u00f1i\u00f1o.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cabe destacar el Peto de \u00e1nimas de Coira de 1768,\u00a0 que es una talla de piedra de la Virgen con el Ni\u00f1o en brazos y personas debajo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En cuanto a monumentos civiles destaca la Estaci\u00f3n de Casal , los puentes de Reib\u00f3o, A Barcia y Pardi\u00f1as, las fuentes de Silvouta, San Mart\u00edn de Lara\u00f1o y Mun\u00edn, los lavaderos de Ama\u00f1ecida, Santomil, Iglesia de Lara\u00f1o, Lamas, Coira o Pardi\u00f1as de Arriba. Tambi\u00e9n cuenta con un buen n\u00famero de molinos en Reib\u00f3o, Rial Paredes (2), A Barcia (2), Lamas (3), Pardi\u00f1as, Rial y Silvouta.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El monumento civil de m\u00e1s importancia es la F\u00e1brica de papel o Curtidor\u00eda de Lara\u00f1o y los Jardines de Brand\u00eda.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La f\u00e1brica de papel construida hacia 1792 funciona como tal hasta alrededor de 1847 cuando ya se habla de ella como curtidor\u00eda. A principios del XX fue f\u00e1brica de cerveza y hielo hasta pasar a manos de La Papelera de Brand\u00eda. Tras a\u00f1os de abandono es restaurada y reconvertida en el hotel A Quinta da Auga .<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El Parque de Brand\u00eda\u00a0 es un gran espacio verde del barrio de Vid\u00e1n que cuenta con 6 hect\u00e1reas dividido en zonas por vegetaci\u00f3n. Destaca especialmente el antiguo robledal y el Jard\u00edn Geom\u00e9trico,restaurado en 2003, que se sit\u00faa frente a la Villa Rial (actual centro sociocultural de Vid\u00e1n).\u00a0 Es un jard\u00edn peque\u00f1o de estilo rom\u00e1ntico y forma rectangular que se divide en secciones por caminos, el principal en paralelo al r\u00edo Sar. Cuenta con variedad de plantas: setos de boj, laureles, lavandas,&#8230; Tras la verja que delimita el jard\u00edn \u00e1rboles ex\u00f3ticos, camelias y plataneros acompa\u00f1an el
