400;\">San Xo\u00e1n de Fecha se localiza a 14 km del centro urbano, al noroeste del Ayuntamiento de Santiago y tocando con los ayuntamientos de Val do Dubra (Portomouro)\u00a0 y Trazo (Xavestre)\u00a0 al Norte y la parroquia de Ameixenda del Ayuntamiento de Ames al Sur. Con las parroquias santiaguesas, limita con Santa Cristina de Fecha al Oeste, Grixoa y A Peregrina al Este, y al Sur con Figueiras.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Su circunscripci\u00f3n al Ayuntamiento de Santiago es relativamente reciente, pues se anexiona en 1962 con el resto de parroquias,\u00a0 Enfesta, Santa Cristina de Fecha, Grixoa, Verd\u00eda, Busto, Nemenzo, Marantes, Barciela, Cesar, Carballal y Sabugueira, que hasta ese momento conformaban el Ayuntamiento de Enfesta.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0A nivel religioso, se adscribe al Arciprestazgo de Xiro da Rocha y la di\u00f3cesis de Santiago de Compostela.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Su extensi\u00f3n es de 15.39 km<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><sup>2<\/sup><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> con un per\u00edmetro de 21.01km en los que se ubican las aldeas de <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Albudi\u00f1o, Camouzo, Fecha, Fontoade, Lamascal, A Ponte Alvar, Ro\u00e1n, Vilar do Rei <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">y<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Vilas<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La parroquia est\u00e1 ba\u00f1ada por los arroyos de Bachao, Vilar de Rei y Ponte Vilar, siendo los tres afluentes del Tambre. La altitud m\u00e1xima est\u00e1 en el monte Espi\u00f1eira con 531 m, siendo la media del resto de la parroquia unos 400 m de alto y manteniendo los 260 m sobre el nivel del mar propios del resto del municipio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">San Xo\u00e1n cuenta con 279 residentes, de los cuales 143 son mujeres y 136 hombres, seg\u00fan datos del INE en el a\u00f1o 2021. La mayor concentraci\u00f3n de la poblaci\u00f3n se da en la aldea de Albudi\u00f1o , siendo la\u00a0 menos poblada Bachao con s\u00f3lo 2 habitantes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Para llegar a esta parroquia nos serviremos de la carretera DP-0701 que va desde Santiago a Santa Comba.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Distancias desde\u00a0 San Xo\u00e1n ><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">San Xo\u00e1n de Fecha cuenta con\u00a0 patrimonio variado diseminado por su territorio, buena parte de este se encuentra protegido y localizado por el PXOM (Plan Xeral de Ordenaci\u00f3n\u00a0 Municipal). Se puede dividir en monumentos de car\u00e1cter religioso y civil.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Su patrimonio religioso tiene dos localizaciones principales, las compuestas por los conjuntos parroquiales de las dos iglesias de la parroquia, la de San Xo\u00e1n de Fecha y la Capilla de Lamascal, pr\u00f3xima al cementerio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La Iglesia de San Xo\u00e1n de Fecha , construida en el siglo XVIII es de estilo barroco. Presenta planta rectangular y \u00e1bside diferenciada m\u00e1s estrecha, con la sacrist\u00eda adosada en el lado izquierdo y tejada a un agua. El campanario\u00a0 doble con arcos de medio punto, se corona con una sencilla cruz.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En la parte delantera de la iglesia est\u00e1 el Cruceiro de la iglesia . De corte sencillo se levanta sobre tres escalones o gradas con una base cuadrada El fuste arranca en forma cuadrangular para ir volvi\u00e9ndose octogonal y retornar al cuadrado en la parte superior que soporta una sencilla cruz de piedra.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Completa este conjunto la casa rectoral un peque\u00f1o pazo clerical de estilo renacentista, uno de los pocos ejemplos de este tipo de arquitectura en Santiago. De planta rectangular destaca por su moldura con arco conopial en la puerta .\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La Capilla de Lamascal data de los siglos XVI-XVIII, se sit\u00faa en un cerro de la aldea del mismo nombre que fue nivelado en los 60 del siglo pasado, para edificar la casa parroquial y el campo de la fiesta.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Construida en siller\u00eda gran\u00edtica cuenta con\u00a0 planta rectangular con tejado a dos aguas y puerta adintelada con una peque\u00f1a ventana sobre ella. El campanario, con hueco para una campana, se remata con adornos en las esquinas y una cruz.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En las inmediaciones, se encuentra el Cruceiro de la Capilla de Lamascal, de tres escalones y fuste octogonal que remata en una sencilla cruz. Y el del Cementerio de Lamascal de apariencia similar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El patrimonio civil abarca diversos elementos, desde los tradicionales h\u00f3rreos y molinos, hasta los rupestres representados en petroglifos o castros.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pr\u00f3ximo a la aldea de Vilar de Rei, se encuentra el Castro de Fontoade, conocido tambi\u00e9n como Castro Vello datado de la Edad de Bronce. Tiene forma el\u00edptica, con dos plataformas en los sectores este y oeste. El eje mayor mide 100 m y el menor 45. Las murallas defensivas, conservadas en parte, son de piedra \u201cseca\u201d levantada con rocas naturales propias de la zona. La entrada, abierta hacia el sureste, est\u00e1 delimitada por dos macizos rocosos, a guisa de torreones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En la zona norte del entorno del Castro se encuentra la conocida como <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a Pedra que Fala<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u00a0 <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">descubierta en los a\u00f1os 60 del siglo pasado, que muestra en su superficie varios petroglifos. Los c\u00edrculos conc\u00e9ntricos, algunos unidos por trazos y de dif\u00edcil interpretaci\u00f3n, datan de la Edad del Bronce, mientras que los cruciformes (simples y con remates en cazoleta) y herraduras se fechan en la Edad Media.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0El nombre de la roca se explica popularmente por la creencia de que aquella contestaba a todas las preguntas que se le formulaban desde el camino que pasa a sus pies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En las proximidades est\u00e1 la<\/span> Pedra dos Miralles<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> , cerca de Vilar de Rei,\u00a0 a escasos 200 metros al este de la Pedra que Fala en la cumbre de una colina que tambi\u00e9n muestra petroglifos en su superficie. Se trata de un conjunto de rocas irregulares, que superan los tres metros de altura, que evidencian motivos circulares, cruces y herraduras.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n\n<style
